Methods of implementation
The project is aimed at running a successful campaign through the training of pediatric VCT community educators and promotion of pediatric VCT in institutions, Government, FBOs, CBOs and other interested groups involved in HIV/AIDS advocacy groups including the media.
C) Reasons for the proposed methodology - The above approach has been selected because it is easy to mobilize such groups, empower them and make them respond to the challenge with methods and resource.
- The method will maximize output, reducing cost, is time efficient, promote awareness, help create networks, easy to monitor and able to make messages on paediatric VCT parents, our target group.
- Empowering interested groups like the ones above with paediatric VCT community educators will help communities’ access accurate information on subject paediatric VCT and other HIV/AIDS related services.
D) How the action is intended to build up on previous actions
This action is a build up on previous VCT campaigns that have mainly favoured the adult population. This programme is aimed at building on previous action by strengthening and increasing level of community involvement in paediatric VCT campaigns.
E) Procedures for internal evaluation
The project will be evaluated internally on a monthly basis. The management team will report to the Director of Programs Chreso Ministries on a monthly basis, the overseer of all programs of the organization. There shall be other reports that the project team will produce and will be reviewed by management and other interested parties.
F) Level of involvement activities of partners in the action
There shall be two types of partners in this project, the financier and the advocate groups.
- The financier’s involvement will be mainly in the area of financing and at any other level of involvement agreed upon.
- The trained groups will be expected under the program to train a minimum of 50 people each in their areas of operation. Our partnering awareness teams shall also be expected to help with the monitoring of pediatric VCT traffic in their local centers.
G) Reasons for the role of each partner - Financiers are needed to implement the project and their role shall be to raise the needed funds to meet the set goals. We currently lack financial ability to carry out the action and a partner with the financial capacity to meet the project requirements is of great importance to us.
- Our partnering advocates will help increase local manpower and the number of pediatric VCT awareness programs in country. They will also help to monitor pediatric VCT traffic in VCT/ART centers, a way of maximizing resources available
- The role of Chreso Ministries shall be; to help create awareness, train pediatric VCT/CTC educators, monitor progress and review the project.
H) Team proposed for implementation
The proposed implementation team will include:
i) Project coordinator (1)
ii) Project financial accountant (1)
iii) Project facilitators 4 (Please note that number of facilitators may increase). |
